Regular meeting of the Kalispell City Council was held June 15, 1964 at
7:30:;F. M. ,
Mayor Flynn presided with Councilmen Bjorneby, Ellingson, Jerrow, Lenon,
Roberts, Smyser afid Turner were present. Homuth absent on leave.
Minutes of the regular meeting of ,Tune gth were read. Bjorneby-moved minutes
be.approved as read. Seconded and carried.
Committee Reports:
Lenon reported on application of Mr. Collier to lease the old dump ground. To
be tabled for,a month as the land is now flooded and under water. Approved request
of Fxank Opp to have boulevard reduced to 4 feet before installing curb on his
property on 10th.Street West.
Addressing the Council:
Francis Bitney, with his architect Bruce Person, presented plat of. his
proposed Trailer -Court... Roberts moved, application be. referred. to annexation
Committee with power to act. Seconded and carried.
Also referred to annexation Committee was an application of C. P. Wisher'
for a Trailer Court at 7th Avenue '.,Jest and Center Street.
Mr. Brown asked for water and sewer service for his 4 lots on west side of
Airport Road, pending completion of the hard copy for annexation. Roberts moved•
that-'`request'be granted as soon as hard copy is submitted. Seconded and carried.
Mn Birney Robinson, resident in ,'imwald Tracts requested City ';later Service
for that area. 1r)as advised by the Council that annexation of the area would be
required.`
On recommendation of Chief of Police, Bob Soderstrom'was appointed Police
Sergeant, effective -July 1, 1964. Notion made by Lenon, seconded and carried.
Roberts moved acceptance of the report of Chief of Police for May. Seconded
and carried.
Turner moved call for bids be authorized for stock of copper tubing for
WaterDepartment. Seconded. by Lenon and carried.
Turner-moved`Council adjourn. Seconded by Lenon and carried.
