REGULAR MEETING
Regular monthly meeting of -the Kalispell City Council was held June 8, 1964
at 7:30 P. M.
Mayor Flynnpresiding with Councilmen Bjorneby, Ellingson, .Jerrow, Lenon,
Roberts, Smyser and Turner present. Homuth absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of May llth were read. Roberts moved approval as
read, seconded and carried.
City Official Monthly Reports:
Reports of the Police Judge, City Engineer, City Sanitarian for May and City
Treasurer and City Clerk for April were.examined and approved, on motion by Turner
seconded and carried.
Committee;Reports:
Smyser, Finance Committee,,- Moved payment of_current claims, as audited
be allowed. Seconded and carried..
- Bjorneby, Parks and Recreation,:- Needed repairs at Club House to be taken
care of. Recommended City not be obligated to make any.agreement to participate
in a recreation program
Dean Jellison, Attorney on behalf of Francis Bi-tney, applied for permission
to build Trailer Court on his property on Meridian Road.` To'be taken up at the
June 15th meeting
Bid Openings
Bid on Sidewalk and Curb construction for fiscal year of 1964-65 submitted
by E. F. Mate'lich Construction Company.'_Roberts moved.acceptance of Matelich bid.
Seconded and carried.
Bid on New Accounting Machine:
Bid of Burroughs Corporation @ $6,500.00 net after trade was accepted on
motion of Smyser, seconded and Carried.
Bid on Pipe and Fittings:
Bids received from Water Works Supply -Company and American Cast Iron Pipe
Company were referred to'Sewer-and ",dater Committee withbpower to act. Motion by
Roberts, seconded and carried.
Buck Collier' presented written request to lease old dump ground with option
to buy. Referred to Street and Alley Committee with power to lease.
New street light in middle of alley between 4th and 5th Avenue East and 2nd
and:3rd Streets authorized on motion by Bjorneby_ Seconded: and carried.
Fire Chief.'rillson recommended appointment Qf Ray Schroder as "Shift--Captian".
Moved by Smyser appointment be made. Seconded and carried'.-
Mayor Flynn.appointed Mrs. Donald Schnaidt and Mrs. Mayo Butchart`to 2nd
terms on the Library Board. Confirmed by motion of Ellingson, seconded and carried.
-Mayor Flynn re -appointed Darwin Hamilton to Board of Adjustment. Roberts
moved confirmation, seconded and carried.
Ellingson moved request of Mayor to be absent from City for one week be
granted. 'Seconded and carried.
Mayor Flynn appointed Lawrence Bjorneby Acting Mayor during his absence.
Approved on motion of Roberts, seconded and carried.
'The following bonds were approved on motion of Turner. Seconded and carried.

Moved by Roberts that Moose Miller be given permission to build a temporary
wood sidewalk at his place of business on North Main for a 90 day period.
Seconded and carried.
Smyser moved for adjournment. Seconded by Roberts and carried.
Read and approved as read this 15th day of June 1964.
