08-22-13 Site Review MinutesSITE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE SUMMARY Thursday, August 22, 2013 Lower Level Conference Room 201 First Avenue East ATTENDING: Jon Campbell, Asst. Fire Chief Mark Crowley, Construction Manager Tom Jentz, Planning & Building Director Rebekah Wargo, Asst. Civil Engineer Kathy Kuhlin, Recording Secretary HEAR THE PUBLIC: None. PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: None. Jeff Clawson, Building Official Dave Dedman, Fire Chief Rick Parker, Bldg. Dept. Inspector P.J. Sorensen, Chairman OLD BUSINESS: School District 5 Central Kitchen — 205 Northwest Lane. This is a 5,400 sq. ft. single -story, kitchen -only building. The food will be delivered out to the various schools. Parker received responses back on his comments and is presently going through those and will discuss some of these with Tom Heinecke. Sorensen is waiting for responses on his comments. The boundary line adjustment is still an issue. Public Works is still reviewing this project. This will be on the agenda for next week. Depratu — Glacier Volkswagen — 11,000 sq. ft. building, non-sprinklered. This project is still on hold for now. This will be on the agenda for next week. NEW BUSINESS: Fred's Appliance — 3075 Hwy 93 S; new retail store. The plans they have submitted pertain to drainage and utilities. Public Works is reviewing these. Their property line goes out to the middle of United Drive, which is a private road. Wargo thought this road would be dedicated to the City. Jentz stated that their C of O won't be issued without the road being dedicated. Their detention pond is off site, and they want to move this temporary pond as they keep developing north. Wargo has more reviewing to do of this. She is looking through their Drainage Report. They do have an easement in place. It was noted that Merganthaler is not in the City. PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS — There will be no meeting in September. They will be doing a Work Session on the Growth Policy. OTHER REPORTS: Jentz will be meeting with Karen Blumenstein up at Cabela's to discuss trail improvements and retaining walls around the BPA towers. There is a discrepancy between MDT and Cabela's as to who will complete the landscaping and when it will take place. Jentz will discuss their options as it pertains to the City.
