Mayor Bjorneby called the meeting to order.
Consider Advisory Ballot Results - -
Mayor and Councilmen examined poll books and tally sheets from the two voting places.
Councilman Miron moved the canvass of the Conrad Mansion Advisory Ballot be tab-
ulated as shown by the election judges' abstract of returns. Seconded by Councilman
Schwartz. Carried.

CONSIDER MANSION AGREEMENT -
Councilman Thomas saved a letter be sent to Alicia Conrad Campbell that the City
of Kalispell rejects the donation of "The Conrad Mansion" as prodded in the
proposed agreement between the City of Italispell and Alicia Conrad Campbell,
Seconded by Councilman Miron. Councilmen Miron requested a roll call vote.
Councilman Sliter spoke against the motion and questioned if the motion should have
been made at all and that the motion was made as a result of misinformation. Council-
man Sliter said the City,should accept the mansion and let the funding fall whersever
it might fall without any promise of funding by the City. Councilman Sliter said
that one of our own council sabers found it necessary, through personal feelings
or ignorance, ' -to publish distorted facts and misinformation. A great disservice
has been done in the handling of the matter.

Councilman Knapp stated that he did not know of any facts that were distorted by
him - that things were distorted by the other side and slanted news media - that
he had obtained the advice of bankers and other responsible people in regard to
the information he supplied, and did not apologise for any of the figures or for
anything said.
Councilman Thomas said the council should follow the advisory ballot. The question
Is something that the council should have decided before, and it should not have
been necessary to ask for an advisory ballot. '
Councilman Daley said that he felt the advisory ballot was the right way to so
about making the decision.
Question called.
Councilman Rapp and Councilman Sliter voted no.
Councilman Miron, Knapp, Daley, Sampson, Schwartz, and Thomas voted aye. Motion
carried.
Councilman Knapp stated that he would support private support of the Mansion
Museum project.
Mayor Bjorneby adjourned the meeting.
