POLICE WAGE - - Councilman Sliter reported that he had discussed the police wages with Police Chief Waggener who indicated that he was unhappy with the wage for police department as they did not feel they had gotten the 5.5% and the matter of contention is that the police feel that the increment should be included in the wage base. Councilman Sliter reported that he has computed the police department wage (last year base $642.58 + 5.25 increment and this year $677.93 base + 12.00 increment) an increase of $41.60 which is a 6.47 increase, increment not included in computation as increment Is based on state law. COMBINE SEPTEMBER COUNCIL MEETINGS - - Councilman Happ moved the September council meetings be combined and held September 17th. Seconded by Councilman Daley. Carried. Upon receipt of written notice of the acceptance of this bid, the bidder agrees to execute a contract in accordane with the bid as accepted within five (5) days frpm.the date of such notice and shall provide a Performance and payment bond with good and sufficient Surety, Contractor agrees to beg#n work within fifteen (15) days after execution of the contract and shall proceed with diligence and prudence until the well is completed or the drilling equipment is released by the City, The Contractor agrees that no award may be made until water rights have been granted by the State Of Montana and until final approval of the project has been made by the Bureau Of Outdoor Recreation. ADDRESSING THE COUNCIL - - Mr. Rohrer, representing Teleprompter Cable TV, reported to the Mayor and Council- men that the company will be increasing TV cable rental effective Sept. 1, 1973 from $5.95 per month to $7.00 per month with the charge for extra outlets to be raised from $1.00 to $1.50. Mr. Rohrer told the Mayor and Councilmen various reasons for the rate increase, mainly the increased cost of doing business and federal regul- ations. Mr. Rohrer said the Mayor and Councilmen might receive complaints from residents regarding the raise and felt that this information would help in answer- ing these complaints. REVENUE SHARING Councilman Happ moved the planned use for Revenue Sharing funds for the period. July 1, 1973 through June 30, 1974 be for Capital Improvements - purchase of Street Department equipment. Seconded by Councilman Knapp, Carried. Councilman Sliter moved adjournment.
