From: Scott Davis LmaiIto: maxwellsnortsnor0live.coml Sent: Sunday, April 24, 2011 1:44 PM Subject: Dear Mayor, and Council Members, City Manager, City Staff and City Residents, Over two weeks ago I contacted Jeff Walla of Stelling Engineers, INC. and asked him when they were going to give notice and inform and let the People of Kalispell know of the "Seconded" upcoming KALISPELL CITY AIRPORT MASTER PLAN UPDATE AND OPEN HOUSE, meeting, In the Daily Inter Lake news paper? He informed me that they were not going to, It was up to the City. I contacted Teresa White of the city and she informed me that the city was going to be doing it for Stelling Engineers INC. I informed them that I don't think the tax payers would approve of the City covering the costs of adverdzing for a privet enterprises. ( I saved the a -mails ) Like I'm sure the City is going to cover the costs of Quiet Skies meeting announcements in the Daily Inter lake. Remember Stelling Engineers got a $97,000.00 grant to do this study. And 5k of it was city money, the rest was American tax payers money. So I waited to see the advertisements. They never came! The Mayor of Kalispell and the City Manager instructed Stelling Engineers that the notice to the public must be in the paper approximately two week prior and one one week prior to such meeting. This was brought on because there first meet only gave the public three day notice and most of the council and the Mayor were not even aware of the first meeting to the public. Well, Guess what! The residents and tax payers were give only one notice, ONE day before the meeting. Even though 1517 =I, it ail 43-- dIJIMITHUCIUCHL ly UIC UILY Fldlldtef If UK!
