This section covers the furnishing and installing of the structures, footings and all other items required to furnish and install a complete system. I K III 1101111,1151EWW-1 _WAI A- 1I A. Framing for the Aircraft Canopies shall be designed in accordance with all applicable at and local building codes. Manufacturer to provide written structural analysis prepared and certified by a professional engineer licensed in the State indicating that the structures and the footings meet required design loads. b. Live / Snow Loading — Withstands vertical roof loads based on ICI3O/130CA/Sl3CCI guidelines or local building codes whichever is greater. C. If site specific load requirements exceed pre -design loading (below), section sizes and connections will be bolstered to meet local code. Dead Load - 10 lbs per psf Live Load — 30 lbs psf on horizontal projected areas Wind Load — 90 mph on vertical projected areas A. Installation shall be by experienced crews employed by the Aircraft Canopy Manufacturer. The canopies will be erected in accordance with approved manufacturers drawings and instructions. B. The structure shall be manufactured in accordance with standard approved practices. Testing shall be performed in accordance with AS TM standards and test reports must be certified and submitted by an independent test laboratory. 1.04 SUBMITTALS: A. Drawings and calculations shall be submitted by the manufacturer prior to fabrication. No fabrication of the structures or ordering of materials shall be done until these submittals are approved by the owner and local building authority. Delivery of materials to jobsite in manufacturers packaging C. Materials to be stored in a clean, dry and covered area that is secure and protected from weather. W A. Structure shall be designed and detailed according to good engineering practice. The Aircraft Canopies will be a series of connected modules cantilevered from a single line of columns under the ridge. Columns will be spaced at 21' on center with cantilevered trusses on each side of each column extending a minimum of 21'-0" to each eave. Out to out of truss measurement shall be 42' unless specified otherwise. B. A minimum of 10' clearance is required at the lowest point on the trussed canopies. C. All structures will have a minimum V2:12 roof slope D. Concrete footing will have a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 psi after 28 days. E. Footing reinforcing steel will be ASTM A615 Grade 60 deformed billet steel. F. Columns will be ASTM A500 Grade B steel tubing with a minimum yield stress of 46,000 lbs. with factory welded brackets and plates of ASTM A36 structural steel plate. No on -site welding should be required. Columns will be shot blasted, e-coated and powder coated after fabrication. G. Trusses will use ASTM A500 steel tubing with a minimum yield stress of 46,000 p.s.i. for top chord, bottom chord and webs. All trusses will be factory welded. Purlin clips to be welded to sides of truss top chord. No on -site welding should be required. Trusses to be designed to minimize roosting or nesting of birds. Truss members will have a full zinc based organic coating applied to the interior surface for corrosion protection. The exterior coating will be galvanized and or e-coated and powder coated after fabrication. 11q. Purlins will be ASTM A-500 steel tubing. "C" or "Z" purlins are not permitted. Purlins — sections will have a full zinc based organic coating applied to the interior surface for corrosion protection. The exterior coating will be galvanized and or e-coated and powder coated after fabrication. To minimize any possibility of birds roosting or nesting all purlins will be located between truss top chords with the top of purlins being flush with the top of the top chord and with a maximum 3/16" clearance between the ends of the purlins and truss top chords. Purlins to be bolted to clips on truss top chords with Grade 5 bolts. 1. Roof System will be 26 gauge (UL 90 rated), 36" wide x 1-1/4" high major rib at 12" o.c. and two minor ribs between major ribs with trapezoidal rib configuration. Field applied sealant required at side laps and end laps. Minimum slope will be .5:12. Substrate will be galvalume sheet steel, minimum yield of 80,000 PSI. Panels will be one piece from eave to ridge -no splicing of deck panels. Panels shall have a finish side coated with a full coat of premium silicone polyester. Color to be selected from metal roof system manufacturer's standard offering. Panels will have a minimum 20 year manufacturer's finish warranty against cracking, checking and fading. 1. Roof fasteners will be self tapping/self drilling type and shall be designed to withstand specified design loads. Fasteners to be provided with a factory applied coating in a color to match metal panels. Neoprene washers under heads will be supplied for all roof fasteners. Fasteners to be located and spaced in a true vertical and horizontal alignment and in a pattern recommended by panel manufacturer. Proper torque settings to be applied to obtain controlled uniform compression for a positive seal with out rupturing the neoprene washer. J. Gutter and Downspouts will be supplied if specified separately. Gutters to match the col of roof panels. One downspout to be supplied for each 21' x 48' module will be attached the bottom chord of the truss and to one side of each column. Downspouts to attach at alternate sides of adjacent columns. I A. All materials are new, of good quality and without defects which would lessen quality of work. C. Canopy erection drawings are furnished at time of shipment. M A. General Contractor shall direct, oversee and inspect all site work related to the Aircraft Canopy Installation. Site preparation must be in accordance with finals drawings and specifications provided by manufacturer. B. Canopy contractor shall inspect site and notify general contractor in writing of any condition/s that may inhibit the proper and timely construction of the canopies. Canopy contractor is under no obligation to proceed until conditions have been sufficiently corrected. W-111 01�- -1 �110;1 �x B. Installation of the entire system and all components shall be in strict accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. A. After the system has been fully erected, the general contractor shall provide the materials and labor to grout the base of the column to produce a finished joint. B. Canopy contractor shall place all trash and debris into appropriate receptacles provided the general contractor. I A. Canopy manufacturer shall provide a one (1) year warranty on materials and workmanship from the date of substantial completion. B.
