Airport Notes1. Kalispell City Airport is the busiest General Aviation airport in Montana and in the four states surrounding Montana. (Idaho, Wyoming, Dakotas) 2. Not just a Good Ole' Boys flying club. Of the 65 aircraft based at the airport, more than half belong to a business or corporation. 4. The economic development generated because of this airport is huge. Flight Training, Tourism, Outfitters, Banking, Machinery, Construction, Charters, and many others. Look at the owners of the 65 aircraft and you will see. 5. This is a close in airport, preferred by most people flying into •- private or corporate aircraft. I 6. Increased tax base from the $2,000,000 in hangars built in the last two years and the businesses around the airport. 7. There will not be aircraft flying around the City of Kalispell at 500 MPH. aircraft are restricted to 250 Knots below 10,000'by FAA rules. i 8. This is a B 11 designed airport. That means that an aircraft with an approach speed of more than 121 MPH can not land here. It won't be able to stop on the length of runway built. 9. This B II designed airport will have a maximum weight limit of 14,000 lbs. That will restrict a lot of larger aircraft. (Boeing 737 weights over 100,000 #) 10. The new runway will move the traffic pattem approximately 1,000'ftu-ther away from downtown.
