We are pleased to inform you that Robert Peccia and Associates
have completed the Airport Layout Plan for the Kalispell City
Airport. The ALP shows the feasibility of a B-2 airport with
minimal relocation of existing structures as well as the
possibility of a non -precision approach from the North to runway
13. In addition, the Kalispell City Council has approved the
formation of a tax increment district around the neighborhood of
the Kalispell City Airport, they have adopted rules and
regulations, a 20-year budget and business plan, and a job
description for an airport manager for the Kalispell City
Airport, plus they have formed an Airport Authority.
We have requested Phil Porrini of Robert Peccia to deliver a
copy of our ALP to both yourself and Mike Ferguson at Montana
Aeronautics. If you do not receive a copy soon, please contact
US.
As you can see, we are very committed to the long term
management and success of the Kalispell City Airport. With this
in mind, we are asking the FAA for as much assistance as
possible as we go forward with our project.
Would you please consider scheduling a trip to Kalispell at your
earliest convenience to discuss this project with our Airport
Advisory Board and Airport Authority? In the mean time, please
advise us of any further actions necessary to pursue FAA
assistance and listing in the NPIAS.
