Police Chief P.J. Sorensen, Chairman GUESTS: Gary Wardell representing Alpine Dental HEAR THE PUBLIC: None. PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: None. Jeff Clawson, Building Official Dwain Elkins, Plans Examiner Tom Jentz, Planning & Building Director Rebekah Wargo, Asst. Civil Engineer Kathy Kuhlin, Recording Secretary OLD BUSINESS: Alpine Dental — 101 Westview Park Place; new dental building. Wardell brought some revised landscape plans to our meeting. Wargo spoke with Rob who needs to supply Public Works with some further information today, at which time Public Works will sign off on this and they can obtain their Building Permit. Wargo can provide them with their required impact fee amount later today. NEW BUSINESS: None. PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Conrad stated there is nothing for the May Planning Board Meeting. They will continue to discuss their Growth Policy Update. OTHER REPORTS: FVCC Campus — Nursing Education Building (Brussard Center) — The hearing and presentation was held last night at the Board of Adjustment Meeting for FVCC's agency exemption. Rails to Trails Run — Krauss mentioned that Crowley had requested police officers to block the traffic at the beginning of the run and he wondered if anyone knew when the run was to take place. Kohl's and Spring Prairie Phase III — Their lowest bidder came in above their budgeted amount. Planning met with them to discuss possible options to consider to reduce their costs. They may consider phasing in the parking lot, reworking the bike path connector, reworking some of the retaining walls and rear access roads, and/or try to consolidate some of the landscaping. Swank was awarded the bid. Kidsports — The announcer's booth building project has been rescheduled for the fall. The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
