HEAR THE PUBLIC: None.
PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: Sorensen mentioned that the C of O for Auto Zone still
has landscaping and building painting issues.
OLD BUSINESS: Kohl's and Spring Prairie Phase III — Clawson received an e-mail yesterday
from the architect that they have sent the updated plans and we should be receiving them shortly.
FVCC Campus — Nursing Education Building (Broussard Center) — Nothing new.
NEW BUSINESS: Los Caporales —1600 Hwy 93 S — roof extension and new outdoor seating area
— they have a leaky roof. This was historically a flat roof that was leaking badly a few years ago so
they added some mechanical equipment there. They are going to extend the higher roof further out
and do a little parapet with a sign on it. The outdoor seating is in the front and will have a slight
overhang, and has a fairly low wall. The site plan shows two exits, one of which goes into the
building. This has already gone through Architectural Review. This is less than 5,000 feet so there
are no stormwater issues. This is approved through Site Review.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: There is nothing for the upcoming Planning Board Meeting. They
will continue to discuss their Growth Policy Update. In July, Prestige Assisted Living on Glenwood
may be coming in for a CUP application for an expansion.
OTHER REPORTS: The Farnham annexation is on the agenda for the City Council on Tuesday.
Prestige Assisted Living - Crowley received a call from them regarding a driveway approach on
Meridian. Sorensen noted that when MDT was improving/widening Meridian, they did not allow
Tinseth a driveway access onto Meridian and gave them a cash compensation. Freyholtz noted that
MDT did the administration for the construction and the right of way acquisition for the project, but it
is an urban route and under the City's control otherwise. Crowley noted that he told the engineer to
use the existing approach.
Syke's — They plan on having their project completed by June 1st, including all the apartments, the
garage, and the signage. They will bond for any landscaping that is not completed by that date but
will continue working on it.
Downtown — Krauss noted that all downtown handicapped spaces will now have a 2-hour limit
posted on the signs.
