HEAR THE PUBLIC: None.
PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: None.
OLD BUSINESS: Sorensen asked for any updates or discussion on Kohl's and Spring Prairie
Phase HI. They were looking at making some site revisions to reduce some of their costs. Neither
Crowley nor Wargo have received any new plans.
He also asked for any updates or discussion on FVCC Campus — Nursing Education Building
(Brussard Center). Elkins is working with them on this. They are looking at May 23rd to award
their bids and then start mobilizing their contractor. Zoning does not have issues with this. Wargo
stated she skimmed through their plans but did not find anything of concern.
NEW BUSINESS: None.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Conrad stated there is nothing for the upcoming Planning Board
Meeting. They will continue to discuss their Growth Policy Update.
OTHER REPORTS: — Syke's — Sorensen noted that the Building Department saw that some of
their apartments are now hotel rooms. No one had any issues with this. Elkins mentioned that the 2nd
and 3rd story units have nice tiled showers but potential renters noted that there were no bathtubs. So
at the end of the hallway in the elevator lobby, they put a partition across and put in a communal
bathtub. You can also access the roof from that location.
The Glacier Building — They are planning to have the building repainted and want to block off the
parking areas along the front and side of the building. Krauss said they originally thought it would
only be for one week, but now they are saying they need two weeks. He spoke with Zavodny who
isn't comfortable giving them two weeks, so Krauss will refer them to the Downtown B.I.D. for
approval. Crowley spoke with a bidder that said the project would take three weeks. Presently, they
are getting bids on the project.
The Sons of Norway Building — The owners of the building are doing some stucco repairs at the
north end of the property. They did obtain a right-of-way permit from Public Works.
Water and sewer pipes are being put in by Ray Thompson at the Whitefish Stage Road and Reserve
Drive intersection, going to his property that is next to Applied Technologies.
Prestige Assisted Living — They are interested in expanding and utilizing their driveway approach on
North Meridian. Crowley will call Freyholtz (MDOT) to discuss this with him.
