04-19-12 Site Review MinutesSITE DEVELOPMENT REVIEW COMMITTEE SUMMARY Thursday, April 19, 2012 Lower Level Main Conference Room 201 First Avenue East ATTENDING: Jeff Clawson, Building Official Sean Conrad, Senior Planner Dave Dedman, Fire Chief Dwain Elkins, Plans Examiner Chad Fincher, Parks Superintendent Tom Jentz, Planning & Building Director P.J. Sorensen, Chairman Kathy Kuhlin, Recording Secretary GUESTS: James Freyholtz, MDT HEAR THE PUBLIC: None. PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: None. OLD BUSINESS: Alpine Dental — 101 Westview Park Place; new dental building. They are still working on their structural design plans. They are anxious to get started on their ground work but are waiting for approval of their Stormwater Plans. Public Works has not had a chance to look at the plans yet. NEW BUSINESS: Costco wants to retrofit the fuel additive equipment so it would be by underground automation instead of by hand. This should be a safer process. This is approved by Fire. Someone from Public Works will need to review this change with drainage and sign off on it. PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Conrad stated there is nothing for the May Planning Board Meeting. They will continue to discuss their Growth Policy Update. OTHER REPORTS: The Babe Ruth Fields at the Kidsport Complex wants to put in an announcer stand and storage facility. Clawson has discussed the standards with them. This would be a 14' x 16' structure. Fire is okay with this. The MDT project on Idaho is moving along. Freyholtz stated they plan to be done with the majority of the project by the middle or end of May. The old asphalt millings are being taken to our City stock pile. Planning met with some people from Goldberg and the project is moving forward. A pad for Kohl's will be delivered on July I't. The entire parking lot with all the landscaping will be completed this summer. They have Kohl's and at least two other stores, all with an opening target date ofMarch 15, 2013. The bike path there is scheduled to go in this fall, along with some landscaping along Treeline. The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 a.m.
