Dear Ms Howington,
The purpose of my letter is to request your consideration for a position on the
Kalispell City Airport Advisory Council. I was born in Kalispell, went to Flathead
High School and attended the University of Montana in Missoula, graduating in
1960. While attending the University, I participated in the Air Force Reserve
Officer Training program. Upon graduation, I was commissioned as a Second
Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and attended pilot training at Williams
Air Force Base in Arizona.
In my nearly 30 year Air Force career, I have always been involved in aircraft
operations. I commanded two major tactical fighter units and was directly
responsible for their safe and effective operation. I am intimately familiar with
runway operations and safety.
In addition to completing an Air Force career as a Command Pilot, I hold a FAA
Commercial Pilot license with an instrument rating. I have been actively flying for
over fifty years and was recently awarded the FAA Wright Brothers `Master Pilot
Award'. I continue to fly out of the the Kalispell City Airport and I'm deeply
interested in both present and future operations there.
Should there be an opening on the Kalispell City Airport Advisory Council, I am
ready to serve!

water" for a possible position on the Kalispell City Airport Advisory Council. I would
like to be considered for such a position.
My background includes commercial aviation in Alaska, aircraft brokerage, aircraft
