Rosie Olesen, 320 Two Mile Drive #207, remarked she is a Parks Department volunteer and the
skate park is a disaster area with garbage strewn everywhere. She said she doesn't know what can be
done, but it's obvious the kids have no respect for either the park or the taxpayer.
One joint offer was received for a 3,892 square foot parcel in Phase 4 of Empire Estates that is too
small to efficiently develop as a park. Staff recommended the city sell the parkland to Richard Desch
and Michael Masa for $3,000.
Howington gave a report and staff answered questions.

The public works department requested the council authorize an agreement with Flathead County to
allow the County Road Department to chip seal Stillwater Road between Three Mile Drive and
Taelor Road.

Mayor Fisher commented she is pleased to see the city and county working together.

Howington reminded everyone about a decision made last year to no longer allow city streets to be
blocked off for personal block parties.
Howington also informed council that the city received a Certificate of Achievement from GFOA
and that the new Procurement Manual is officially in use.

Mayor Fisher announced there will be a bicentennial celebration for Howse House this Saturday in
Lawrence Park.
In response to a question from Zauner, staff was asked to request that the county spray for
mosquitoes in Lawrence Park.
