HEAR THE PUBLIC: None.
PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: We are still waiting for an extension on the Turner
project.
OLD BUSINESS: Immanuel Lutheran Home/Buffalo Hill Terrace — expansion of existing
nursing home and senior living apartments. They want a comprehensive list of all our comments.
Stormwater has been resolved. There are still some other issues they need to address. They are
still going to be working on their four foot encroachment to the setback and it probably will not
change the size or location of the building. Regarding the fire lane going around the building, we
thought they would have a 20' lane around Buffalo Hills Terrace. The plans show it only going
half way around. The other half, they didn't want to do right now because they would have to
deal with some of the utility poles and the guy wires coming down. They wanted to complete that
when they did a later expansion to the building to add the Community Hall. Diehl wants it all in
now and so he is working with them on that.
Sherwin-Williams — 45 — I't Avenue E.N.; convert general retail to paint store— they are looking at
going into the old Dollar Store building next to Super One Foods. This would be a change in the type
of retail. They are not putting any floor drains in. We are uncertain if the bathrooms are already in or
if they are putting them in. They should add a couple of handicapped parking spaces. Burnham will
request they have an action plan in case they were to spill any material. This is passed through Site
Review.
1331 Highway 2 West — Ashley Square Mall — change of use to office space (a collection agency).
Internal remodeling only. No further comments. This is moved through Site Review.
Hutton Ranch Pad G -150 Hutton Ranch Road; new retail building —shell only. This is located
opposite Pad D and is next to Wal-Mart. Sorensen received a copy of an e-mail relating to the fire
hydrant. Diehl will deal with it when he gets back from Seattle.
NEW BUSINESS: Scoreboard — 75 Woodland Park Drive; administrative CUP for a new
covered patio on the rear of the building. A public notice is out on this project, but we have not
received any comments back on it. A neighbor has complained previously about garbage from the bar
being left along the alley. He would like a fence put up to keep the bar parking lot patrons out of the
alley. This alley is not in the City and is considered an alley right of way. Discussion was held. We
cannot close off access to the alley, but may be able to control access to it.
PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: Kalispell Regional Medical Center — six phase expansion plan -
this will be coming in as a PUD. Phase I is for the Surgery Center Addition. The conditions will
include a pedestrian plan and a traffic study when they do one of the parking garages. They are also
doing a little bit of refurbishing of the apartments they own across from the Summit.
OTHER REPORTS: None.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
