RE: Statues (3)I don’t have intention of involving you in this. I am up to my eyeballs in paperwork (reports) for CDBG and other things-not interested in digging dirt for bronzes at the moment. One statue, a deer, is complete and one statue, a bear is on hold. Up to now the plan has been on hold because the city does not have the funds to complete the installation or finish the bear. Enter Mr. Gary Collier. Mr. Collier has come to me and offered to do the installation work as a gift to the city. I am not sure how to proceed on this because I don’t know if, for example, there is a design for the install pads or if the proper permissions from MDT have been obtained. I think what we need to do is form a committee consisting of: public works, parks, and airport to work with Mr. Collier and see if we can make this improvement to the city at little or no cost. If some other dept or person would like to be involved in this let me know by tomorrow. Myrt W. Webb Interim City Manager Kalispell, MT PH: 406.758.7703 “Service Thru Teamwork”
