RE: FriendsMyrt: We have a lot of friends of the Airport now. I can fill the chamber with them if you wish. The same two guys have been anti-airport for a couple of years now. That being Davis and Eckels. We got emails from two others this week because I asked the Council to have them contact us with their complaints and concerns. That makes four or five out of 20,000 residents. I will start having a couple residents and/or business people come to each meeting from now on. Not to sit there, but to speak for the airport. I will get a banker or two to challenge Tim’s anti-airport attitude since these airport businesses and employees bank in Kalispell also. They have loans at the banks for airplanes and hangars, etc. I am surprised that he is a loan officer at a bank and can’t see the economic impact of the airport. The Monks are sorry they had the son-in-law stand up and be so anti-airport. They wanted to know why the council did not give us permission to negotiate, because they want to see the property. I told the Monk daughters that they would have to come back before the council and tell the council that they really do want to sell to the city, they just want a fair price. We will see what happens. I do have the review appraisal in hand and it is a full scale recommendation. So we are clear to move forward. I have been contacted by some council members and they have not lost confidence in the airport project. If you find out otherwise, please let me know and I will work on that member. Thanks, Fred A. I will be talking to council members about the future of the airport this week. I will let you know what they think. Myrt
