RE: monday morning (2)Hi, Did that hardware store lady come by yesterday? Maybe I should buy a pink house so you won’t go through withdrawals… Can we begin to plan for an invalid togetherness? We’ll have Mom’s knee done and Ann’s toe done and I can waitress. Then you both will owe me great gobs of favors J From: ANN COOK [mailto:cookin3355@embarqmail.com] Sent: Monday, August 24, 2009 10:41 AM To: Gratia Mahony Cc: 'Jane Howington'; MahonyJ@us.ibm.com Subject: RE: monday morning Mom good news on the health front! Are the knees going for another 6 months too? I am in my last week of summer. Still plugging away on the front garden. I may not make it, but it looks a lot better. The back is still good. The zucchini still coming... We have finally eliminated all the "pink" in Bills house. It really is comfortable now. Still alot to do, but livable and enjoyable too. ----- Original Message ----- From: Gratia Mahony To: 'Jane Howington' Cc: cookin3355@embarqmail.com, MahonyJ@us.ibm.com Sent: Mon, 24 Aug 2009 10:48:33 -0400 (EDT) Subject: RE: monday morning Jane: Thanks for telling me about your weekend with Josh. I’m sure he enjoyed it too. John & Kimberley are in Colorado this week. I just came back from having my 6 month check up with at Dr. Thuney. All blood work is good and I’m in good shape. Set to go now for another 6 months! Love to all, MOM Gratia Dunham Mahony 178 Ravelle Ct. We had a really good time. The weather was great for our two days of exploring. As always, it’s hard to see him go but I know he’s so excited for his school semester to begin… Now I have to get back to the work at hand which is working on living arrangements. It’s funny but taking Josh by the houses I’d kind of short listed made me feel I had a scroungy little selection indeed. Well, I guess I’ll strategize a bit on this today and see what I think in the morning. Josh got me onto facebook and I saw John Mahony’s photos from the Bill and Mary weekend but I still haven’t seen Ann’s. He also showed me another way to get on facebook so I think I’ll try that later tonight or tomorrow. If I do, you’ll know soon enough as I’ll “friend” you. Glacier was really nice and we had a good weather day. The wildflowers were blooming all over the place but I did notice an absence of birds. It was the strangest thing. Usually you see various types of birds gliding around on the wind currents and below lots of smaller birds in the tree canapy. Nothing like that this time though… Josh and I were wondering if the larger birds of prey were keeping the others from coming out into the open. I’m going to have a hard time today staying awake. I got up at 3:30 am to get Josh to the airport and I have a work session tonight at 7 pm. I think I may need to go home and take a nap during the day… Happy Monday. Love, Jane
