Good Afternoon City Official;
The Montana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is pleased to attend
and participate in the upcoming Montana League of Cities and Towns
Annual Conference, October 7-9, 2009. The Montana ESGR committee would like
to announce special guest, Assistant Secretary of Defense Dennis M. McCarthy.
Secretary McCarthy, along with the Military leadership of Montana, will
address conference participants and thank each of you for your outstanding
support of the men and women in uniform who serve the State of Montana and
uphold our nation's national defense. As a vendor and conference
participants, the volunteers of the Montana ESGR committee will provide the
following valuable information to conference attendees;
* understanding and applying the Uniformed Services Employment and
Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA)
* resourcing the Statement of Support program and outreach to the
Cities/Towns in-order to recognize their valuable support to the men & women
they employ
* education and training opportunities available to county employers
regarding current National Guard missions (Homeland Security, Vigilant Guard)
* conduct a "Bosslift" Civilian Employer Orientation Flight (via MTNG
Helicopter)
The Montana ESGR committee would like to invite you to register for an
Employer Orientation flight (via MTNG Helicopter); this opportunity will be
limited to the first one hundred PRE-registered City/Town officials-
Registrations will be accepted No Later than 5 October 2009.
The ESGR committee would like to invite all pre-registered participants to
join us at the MT Air National Guard,120th Fighter Wing HQ - 2800 Airport Rd,
Ave B, Great Falls, MT 59404 - where you will tour the facility and receive
Leadership Information Briefs from the Montana Army and Air National Guard.
Transportation will be provided and this is a concurrent session to the
Conference events.
