RE: Flights to KalispellMom; I checked a few other flights and the only one with considerable savings is flying into Spokane. It takes 4 hours to drive to Spokane so the cost savings would be offset by the gas and hotel costs for the trip there and back. I would like to suggest that I buy your ticket for this trip. John and I were going to send you a thank you gift certificate for either the doggie daycare place or Krogers since you have been doing a lot of our doings there and for your help in getting us out of Dayton. Instead of that gift certificate, perhaps I can just buy the ticket instead. That way we could book it without worry that the fare might change as the dates get closer. By the way, I wanted to ask Ann if she (or anyone she's known) has ever used priceline.com before. They're supposed to be pretty good at purchasing travel stuff at reduced prices. We could try that if you want. If I go all the way on Northwest Airlines, leaving Chicago ORD and making one stop in Minneapolis (which would get me onto the same flight you take out of Minneapolis) I could leave Chicago at 9:07 AM and connect in Minneapolis to Flight #5788 which is your flight. That cost would be $513.39. I think I can save a little bit if I fly from Chicago to Minneapolis on United, and that flight would still get me to connect to Flight #5788, so we could go together from Minneapolis to Kalispell. My thought is that it would be fun to fly to Kalispell on Thursday 5 Nov. 2009, but I think that if I'm going to pay that much money, I'd like to stay with Jane for a week. Also, if I then return to Chicago (via Minneapolis), on a Friday, (ie. 13 Nov. 2009) I may be able to come back to Chicago with John Mahony. Not that the flight would matter, but if we both got into Chicago about the same time, then I could ride from the airport to John's house with him (thus saving the limo fare). You probably don't yet know that John has a new IBM assignment which he'll start next week, and which is based in Minneapolis. Jane thinks that she might be able to find a cheaper air fare for me. Perhaps she can, however, If not I'll take the flight that would allow me to meet your flight #5788 and go from Minn. to Kalispell with you. I won't have the cash to actually book this flight until I get my 21 Oct. deposit however, so I hope the flight won't be full by then. I should hear from Jane later today if she can find a cheaper fare. Jane called last night to say that the movers brought all their furniture, so their move is now complete. Probably lots of boxes to unpack and put away! Love, MOM Gratia Dunham Mahony 178 Ravelle Ct. Dayton, OH 45420-1978 gratia@woh.rr.com
