RE: Nov. 10 Planning Board HearingI agree that the Plan Board make their own decision (one reason I declined a meeting with the Trumble Creek developer until after the Plan Board has finished their business). My aim tomorrow night is to clarify process for the Plan Board and delineate the issues as two separate issues. I appreciate your comments. I read in this mornings DAILY INTER LAKE that the staff will be recommending that the Planning Board table the airport issue until after the November 30 meeting with the Council. While I'm not familiar with the hearing process for a zone change, if such process is the same as for subdivisions the November 30 meeting is circumventing the planning process. (I may have much more to say on this matter in the future, but I doubt that will be necessary with your arrival and the change in the Council). It is my recommendation that the staff NOT make ANY recommendation as to the Planning Board action, i.e., recommend changes, vote in favor, vote against, table etc. Let the Planning Board members carry out their appointed duties based on the information presented. If they decide, on their own, to table the issue it should be THEIR reason for tabling. The Planning Board serves a very important function only if they act independently. Bob Hafferman
