Fred,
I imagine you have had your meeting with the new City Manager by now. I
hope all went well.
As we discussed, I have worked up an advertisement for engineering
services for you. It is attached for your review. Some items are
highlighted for review / revision in particular before it goes to the
Daily Interlake.
I tried to include everything that could possibly come up over the next
five years and keep the descriptions general so that you don't have to
worry about having to re-select for individual projects not covered in
this advertisement.
I mentioned that at a minimum you need to advertise in the City's
newspaper of record at least twice. However, you can decide to
advertise as extensively as you like, but obviously it will cost more.
(These costs will be reimbursable under your next AIP project.) I
figure any engineering company worth its salt has a clipping service and
so they will learn about the advertisement. You could do the minimal
advertisement and then email it to the main Montana airport engineering
firms. I can get you the FAA's list if you like.
