FW: Based Aircraft ProgramFrom: Fred Leistiko [mailto:fleistiko@kalispell.com] Sent: Friday, December 18, 2009 11:38 AM To: based aircraft support Subject: Log In password Good Morning Fred: Thank you for your interest and assistance in maintaining the based aircraft count data for Kalispell City (S27). Your user name and password is provided to access the basedaircraft.com web site. User name: City of Kalispell Temporary Password: S27 (case sensitive) You may logon to BasedAircraft.com http://www.basedaircraft.com to review the program’s based aircraft data and print a summary report for Kalispell City. After you logon you have the option to change your temporary password and profile information by clicking on your username in the right hand corner of the page. There is a user guide and several help messages on the web site to assist you in using and navigating the BasedAircraft.com web site. GCR and NASAO, National Association of State Aviation Officials, are actively contacting Airport Administrators of Airports that are currently part of FAA National Based Aircraft Inventory Program. At this phase of the National Based Aircraft Inventory Program, FAA will be reviewing only Civilian Single Engine, Multi-Engine, Jet and Helicopter Aircraft. We are asking for your assistance to complete the following listed 4 steps in reviewing your based aircraft counts: 1.)Any time you logon, you have the option to review and/or make changes (add, delete, edit) to reflect your current based aircraft counts. There is also a Based Aircraft Detail Report that may be printed from your computer. 2.)We are very much interested in resolving or having comments recorded for Aircraft N-Numbers Reported by other Airports. After entering your based aircraft count data please add a comment to or revise any of your listed based aircraft that are reported by other airports in their based aircraft inventory counts.(Currently 3 listed based aircraft N-Numbers are being reported by other airports) 3.)Please review any Civilian N-Numbers of aircraft not found in FAA’s Aircraft Registration Data. In this phase of the program N-Numbers not found in FAA’s Aircraft Registration Data will be retained in the BasedAircraft.com program for further review but will not be included in the based aircraft total count on FAA Form 5010, Airport Master Record. A link to FAA Aircraft Registration Data is provided for your use http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Inquiry.aspx (Currently all listed aircraft N-Numbers are found in FAA’s aircraft registration data) 4.)After reviewing/revising the based aircraft count information click the ‘CONFIRM AIRCRAFT DATA’ button which will document the latest date the list was confirmed along with the user’s name. I have also attached a letter asking for your voluntary participation in providing us your opinion/ideas on what constitutes a ‘based aircraft’ at your airport. Please call if you have any questions. Thank you for your support and time on maintaining and documenting the Based Aircraft Counts Kalispell City.
