I just wanted to send out a friendly reminder and invitation to all
airport representatives or interested individuals that sent an
application to our offices for an airport project loan and/or grant for
MDT Aeronautics Division monies for fiscal year 2011, the Montana
Aeronautics Board hearing for deciding which airport sponsors will
receive funding and for what amounts is coming up in a couple weeks.
This public hearing will be held Thursday, January 21st in Helena at the
Montana Department of Transportation headquarters building auditorium
beginning at 08:00 am. As was mentioned in your applications,
attendance at the hearings is certainly encouraged, but is in no way
mandatory. Representatives or interested individuals for each airport
that submitted an application will be invited to speak, if they desire,
directly to the Montana Aeronautics Board at the meeting, however, no
presentation is required.
If you are interested in attending, the MDT headquarters building is
located at 2701 Prospect Ave in Helena. It is very easy to find being
located just a few block South of the Helena Regional Airport and just
South of Hwy 12 and 287, directly across from the Helena Wal-Mart store.
If you are flying into Helena to attend, free parking for private
aircraft and transportation to and from the meeting can be arranged by
our office located directly on the North side of the airport. The
meeting will begin around 08:00 and will last however long it takes to
finish, which is generally before 5:00 pm.
