Re: SteveScott and Jane Thanks for the update. Here is a progressive idea that I heard about that is happening in the cities of Fairfield and Vedic City, Iowa. Retire the airport and establish a "city department of agriculture". The airport property would be used to grow organic produce and would include greenhouses. The food would be sold locally and regionally. It would be good for the planet and good for the city. The Mayor, apologies to me and we will be notified when the next workshop on the budget is arranged. Bob Hafferman was all over the airport budget, don't think the council is fooled anymore. Looking real good, that there will be no FAA involvement, and or any types of expansion. And as tight as the budget is now and how hard the council is cutting corners, there will be no moneys pumped into the airport. They talked about taking extra reserves and paying off the airport dept and retiring it. They see the air port is a sink hole with out FAA and the Wise selling there property. Three weeks ago I was instructed to e-mail Fred L. to get all complaints called into city hall about the airport and aircraft noise. two weeks went by no response, last week I e-mailed him asking for the info, no response. So last night at the city council meeting I expressed my concern to the council, that it's been three weeks. At the end of the meeting City Manager tells the council that it takes time to dig these records up if there are any at all. She says she has my request on her desk and will see to it. She is so protective of Fred L., it makes me wonder, hmmm. I'm glad they ran out of time, as with most of us we all had grad. stuff and party's going on, maybe next one Mary E. and You Two and others can make it. We still need to show our presents. <http://gfx2.hotmail.com/mail/w2/pr02/emoticons/smile_wink.gif> SCOTT ________________________________ From: eckels@guitarmusicman.com Subject: Re: Steve Date: Tue, 8 Jun 2010 07:27:31 -0600 To: maxwellsnortsnort@hotmail.com Hi Scott Thanks for the updates--- Yesterday I was playing for a retirement party and was unable to attend.
