Teammates & Friends Organize Fundraiser for Former Griz Football Player
Mike Ferriter
Griz fans knew him as #82 from 2004-2008. He caught some amazing passes
from his teammate Cole Bergquist. Now Bergquist and other former
teammates are teaming up to help Mike fight cancer. Mike has been
battling testicular cancer for the past few months, while his brother
Kevin has been battling a genetic bone disorder for the past 8 months
that now has him bedridden.
In a true demonstration of what teams and friendships mean, Cole
Bergquist is leading the charge to raise money to help defray the
medical costs that the Ferriter family has been hit with. Mike's former
teammates will be hosting a dinner at Ciao Mambo on May 6th, 8 p.m. The
cost is $40 per person which includes entree, choice of appetizer, salad
or desert, two glasses of wine and gratuity. There will be a small
silent auction during the dinner.
Mike's former teammates Cole Bergquist, Ty Palmer, Jace Palmer, Andrew
Selle, Chase Reynolds and Alex Verlanic will be in attendance to show
their support for the Ferriter Family.
