Dear Mayor and Council, I read the article entitled
"Lease of Airport Land Raises Questions" article on p. A4 of the 7/21/10
Interlake.
It appears the Manager was granted authority to negotiate and did sign a
lease, but it was never approved as required by state law, which
apparently requires that these things be approved by 2/3 vote ?
I request you provide the citizens a full explanation of the facts,
circumstances, oversights and mistakes, if any, attendant and related
to this matter. I urge you to have an investigation conducted by an
outside 3rd party, as the current city attorney was in office at the
time in question.
