Airplane crashThere was an airplane crash just south of the Kalispell Airport this afternoon. The plane was from Polson and the pilot was doing touch and go’s. There were two occupants and both
escaped the plane with neck and back injuries and we transported them to Kalispell Regional. The plane crashed into a horse corral and burned. South Kalispell Fire Department and
the Sheriff’s office have control of the site. This is another good reason for the new airport with runway protection zones for disabled aircraft to emergency land in on departure
and final approach.
