Civil Engineer Tom Jentz, Planning & Building Director Charlie Johnson, Construction Manager Roger Krauss, Police Dept. P.J. Sorensen, Chairman Kathy Kuhlin, Recording Secretary GUESTS: James Freyholtz, MDT. HEAR THE PUBLIC: None. PERFORMANCE BOND REMINDERS: Wal-Mart will post a bond for lights and landscaping. They are having a problem with one FEC light, but it was on the old phase. They have five wall packs that are ordered but have not shipped yet and they will bond for that. OLD BUSINESS: ASI, (Van Ee Apartments) — 420 Grandview Drive — Still on hold with this project. NEW BUSINESS: Flathead County's Blue Building— 935 First Avenue West; exterior remodel and small addition to existing office building. They will be putting insulating wall panels on it. They are doing a bump out, new entry way, and adding an elevator. There will be site changes for handicapped parking. Most of the changes will be internal. They have a proposed color change to the outside of their building to conform to their other surrounding buildings. The committee had no comments other than regarding the color. There is no signage presently. Project is approved. Faith Covenant — 611 Third Avenue East; addition to existing church — they have been in for the CUP previously. They are coming in now for their full permit. Two CUP conditions will be developing a Parking Plan and a Sidewalk Replacement Plan. They were going to meet with Fred and work out a 50/50 plan on the sidewalk. There is 100' of sidewalk that needs to be replaced. No other issues. They hired A2Z Engineering yesterday. PLANNING OFFICE ITEMS: The July Planning Board Meeting has the annexation on South Woodland Drive. We would be taking in less than a half an acre with two houses on it that is adjacent to a mobile home park. We will have to see if the Planning Board and the Council want to take in another island that is within a larger island. OTHER REPORTS: Diehl stated that they are hoping to have their fire station plans submitted today. The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
