Resolution 4765 - HIDTA Grant - Police DepartmentRESOLUTION NO.4765 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREA (HIDTA) GRANT TO FUND OVERTIME RELATED TO DRUG INVESTIGATIONS BY THE KALISPELL POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the Federal Government has designated Flathead County and Kalispell as a High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area and has awarded the Northwest Drug Task Force nearly Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) for expenses relating to drug investigations, and WHEREAS, Nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($9,600) will be used for Drug Interdiction Overtime, and WHEREAS, the HIDTA grant requires no matching funds, and WHEREAS, Nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($9,600), would be used for overtime reimbursement relating to drug investigations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That the City Council hereby accepts the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area funds in the amount of Nine Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($9,600) from the Federal Government.
