Current Business:
• Arbor Day- Plans were discussed and job assignments doled out. The group came up with
the theme, “Healthy Trees Healthy Me”
o Theme- “Healthy Trees Healthy Me”

o Environmental Stations- Tony
o Food- Judy & Martin
o T-shirts- Fred
o Ceremony- Chad F.
o Logistics- Colter, also contact Terry Richmond about ATV
o Volunteers- Martin/Colter
o Media- April
o Community Outreach- Judy/everyone
• Media campaign- A handout was given that had several examples of the media campaign.
We pulled up a view of the billboard for members to see a final version and discussed
billboard locations and timing.
o Billboard scheduled for March and April, one by hospital one west of town as you
are coming into town.
o 16 or so messages and images that will be used in social media over the next year
o Thanks for everyone’s help on this
• Board Leadership Training- Training was discussed and members agreed to try to attend the
Feb 3rd meeting if they could.
o Tuesday Feb 1st 6-8:00 OR Thursday Feb 3rd 1-3:00
• Arborist Update – Colter
o Colter reviewed that the large tree crew was working on 5th Ave E while the small
tree crew was down in bluestone. Colter went on to talk about the Norway maples
response to structure pruning and the challenges we has faced.
