8-3 meeting Public Comment from Marianne DyonFrom:marianned7@centurytel.net To:Kalispell Meetings Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL] 8-3 meeting Date:Friday, August 7, 2020 5:17:37 PM It was my first time attending a City Council meeting on 8-3 since moving to the Flathead valley 36 years ago, being anxious to hear their views on the issues we are facing here in the valley. On entering the room the council members were all in their place spaced apart from each other with their face masks on being obedient to the Governor Bullock guide lines. It was amazing at how the room filled up with so many people and there weren't enough chairs for the people to sit on. As you know they ran out of the programs that told the people how to ask questions of the council members. So I approached the lady council member to suggest that more programs were needed, and was amazed at how rude she was to me. After calling the meeting to order the council member that spoke about the issue of having to wear a mask was having to speak through his mask it was difficult for us to hear and understand him. It was disappointing when some of the audience became very disruptive by hollering at the Council, because they possibly are apprehensive of becoming a socialist country. It is sad that American's are so angry and have forgotten how to handle situations in a respectful way. Nothing good is accomplished through angry hateful words. It is heartbreaking how the liberals are trying to take our freedoms away from us. Many men and women have died serving in the military fighting for those freedoms. Therefore we should honor those who serve to protect us and our American freedoms. Our President has accomplished so much by bring jobs back and numerous other positive beneficial decisions for our country and it is disappointing when they don't let him accomplish what is best for America. Thank you all for your interest and being willing to serve on the City Council. Marianne Dyon marianned7@centurytel.net 1574 Hodgson Rd. Wf.
