RESOLUTION NO. 4401
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN EMERGENCY EXPENDITURE AND AUTHORIZING A
TRANSFER AMONG APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN A GENERAL CLASSIFICATION OF
EXPENDITURES AS ADOPTED BY THE CITY OF KALISPELL BUDGET FOR 1998
FISCAL YEAR.
WHERfiAS, in the budget adopted by the City of Kalispell for the
1998 fiscal year, certain detailed and itemized estimates
of expenditures for salaries, sick leave, vacation, ICMA
retirement in the office of City Manager have proven
inaccurate due to the termination of the contract of
employment with the City Manager, and
WHEREAS, the payment of compensation and other benefits due under
the City Manager's Employment Agreement will exceed the
budgeted appropriations in said classifications for the
1998 fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, further, other General Fund classifications will have
appropriations in excess of the expenditures and said
excess appropriations may be utilized, so that, the City
Manager's budget appropriation is not exceeded by
expenditures, and
WHEREAS, under the emergency authority granted the Council under
Section 7-6-4272, MCA to make transfers or revisions
within general budgetary classifications, so that checks
drawn may be paid from available funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. The City Finance Director is authorized and
directed to pay sums due under the termination
provisions of the City Manager's Employment
Agreement from any funds available for such
purpose in the City Treasury.
