RESOLUTION NO. 4400
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTS IN THE 1997-98 BUDGET ADOPTED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE SEWER FUND, WASTE WATER TREATME24T PLANT
EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT (CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT) ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, the City Council budgeted and appropriated the sum of
$210,000 in the Sewer Fund for Water Treatment Plant
Equipment Replacement (Capital Improvement), in
accordance with MCA 7-6-4271, and
WHEREAS, inspection of the fermenter indicated significant and
unexpected internal corrosion to a crucial element of the
WWTP necessitating substantial improvements to the
fermenter, and
WHEREAS, the WWTP Equipment Replacement Reserve contains adequate
additional funds which are expected to cover the costs of
the improvement, and
WHEREAS, said $180,000 was not appropriated pursuant to Section 7-
6-4271, and constitutes an overall increase in
appropriation authority, and
WHEREAS, the appropriate fund would be Sewer Fund, WWTP Equipment
Replacement (Capital Improvement), 5310 455 430645 940,
with the appropriate expenditure line item.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION T. That the annual appropriation for the Sewer
Fund, WWTP Equipment Replacement (Capital
Improvement) is hereby amended by allocating
an additional $180,000 from the WWTP Equipment
Replacement Reserve for the purpose of
constructing improvements to the fermenter.
