RESOLUTION NO.4386
A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SET FORTH IN THE 1997-98 BUDGET ADOPTED BY
THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE FEMA APPROVED PROJECT APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the annual appropriation for a FEMA grant is a federal
grant received subsequent to the adoption of the Fiscal
1997-98 budget, in accordance with M.C.A. 7-6-4271, and
WHEREAS, the source of funds is federal money passed through the
Montana Disaster & Emergency Services Division in the
amount of $43,510.00, and
WHEREAS, several departments in the City of Kalispell are the
recipients of the FEMA Grant as a result of the 1997
Spring Floods, to -wit:
Parks Department $ 7,424.00
Public Works Department $22,545.65
Police Department $ 1,743.18
Fire Department $ 1,743.17
Golf Course $10,054.00
WHEREAS, said Grant is revenue accruing to the City not
appropriated pursuant to Section 7-6-4271, and
constitutes an overall increase in appropriation
authority, and
WHEREAS, the appropriate fund is a Special Revenue fund, 2960,
with the appropriate expenditure line item, and
WHEREAS, the City Council on December 15, 1997 held a public
hearing on appropriating funds from FEMA,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the annual appropriation for Special
Revenue Fund, 2960, is amended, as a result of
a FEMA grant, in the following amounts:
Parks Department $ 7,424.00
Public Works Department 22,545.65
Police Department 1,743.18
Fire Department 1,743.18

SECTION II. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage by the City
Council.
