NOTICE,OF PUBLIC HEARING
RESOLUTION NO.4379
A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC EM RING TO AMEND THE ANNUAL
APPROPRIATIONS OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL, MONTANA, AS SST FORTS IN
THE 1997-98 BUDGET ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CDBG PUBLIC
FACILITIES GRANT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the annual appropriation for the CDBG Public Facilities
Grant Program is a federal grant received subsequent to
the adoption of the Fiscal 1997-98 budget, in accordance
with M.C.A. 7-6-4271, and
WHEREAS, the source of funds is federal money passed through the
U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $400,000.00,
and
WHEREAS, the Planning, Economic and Community Development
Department is a recipient of the CDBG Public Facilities
Grant on behalf of Samaritan House, and
WHEREAS, said Grant is revenue accruing to the City not
appropriated pursuant to Section 7-6-4271, and
constitutes an overall increase in appropriation
authority, and
WHEREAS, the appropriate fund would be a Special Revenue fund,
2940, with the appropriate expenditure line item for
construction of a 35-bed shelter,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL FOLLOWS:
SECTION _1. That on November 17, 1997, at 7:00 o'clock
P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall,
Kalispell, the City Council will hold a public
hearing on appropriating funds from CDBG
Public Facilities Grant Program in the amount
of $400,000.00 for Samaritan House.
SECTION II. That notice of the passage of this resolution
shall be published pursuant to Section 7-1-
4127, MCA.
