RESOLUTION NO. 4363
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS TO THE MONTANA
HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME) PROGRAM AND A COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) AND AGREEMENT TO CERTIFICATIONS FOR
APPLICATIONS FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING FUNDS ON BEHALF OF
SAMARITAN HOUSE.
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell is applying to the Montana
Department of Commerce for a Community Development Block
Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $400,000 and Montana Home
Investment Partnership Program (HOME) grant in the amount
of $400,000 to assist Samaritan House with the
acquisition of eight (8) existing one -bedroom apartments
for use as transitional living units, a concourse
building providing fourteen (14) additional living units
and the rehabilitation of thirty-one (31) living units.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL FOLLOWS:
SECTION T. That the City of Kalispell agrees to conform
with the regulations, statutes, terms and
conditions for said Applications.
That Clarence Krepps, City Manager, is
authorized to submit the applications to the
Montana Department of Commerce, on behalf of
the City of Kalispell and Samaritan House, and
to provide such additional information as may
be required.
SECTION TIT. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its passage by the City
Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE MAYOR OF THE CITY
OF KALISPELL, THIS 151-h DAY OF September, 1997.
