RESOLUTION NO. 4260
A RESOLUTION TO ALTER AND AMEND THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF
CONTRACT WITH KALISPELL SIGN CORPORATION ON THE OPTICOM
INSTALLATION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the City did, on April 8, 1996 enter into a contract
with Kalispell Sign Corporation of 1533 Montana Highway 351
Kalispell, Montana for installation of Opticom equipment at nine
(9) intersections within the city, and
WHEREAS, upon the advice and recommendation of Fire Chief Ted
Waggener, who is the City's consultant on said project, certain
changes and alterations of design and specifications have been
found necessary and advisable and in the best interests of the
City; and said changes and alterations could not have been
necessarily foreseeable when the original design and specifications
were prepared on this phase of the installation of Opticom
equipment at nine (9) intersections within the city, and said
changes are contained in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and are by
this reference made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, it appears in the best interests of the City to
approve said changes and alterations,
NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of Section 7-5-
4308(1) MCA be it hereby resolved:
1. The alterations and modifications of the specifications
and plans of the contract between the City of Kalispell and
Kalispell Sign Corporation, dated April 4, 1996, as set out in
Exhibit "A", attached hereto, are hereby approved, and
2. As soon as the price to be paid for said alterations and
modifications are agreed to in writing, signed by the contractor,
as hereby approved by the Council, this approval thereof shall be
in effect.

Justification: The City of Kalispell would like to add three intersections
to the Opticom Project. This will include $7050.00 for labor and
$9,450.00 for materials.
Change to CONTRACT PRICE: $16 , 500.00
Original CONTRACT PRICE: $ 214150,00
Current CONTRACT PRICE adjusted by previous CHANGE ORDER: $ N/A
The CONTRACT PRICE due to this CHANGE ORDER will be increased (decreased) by
