RESOLUTION NO. 4094
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION .OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL'S
BUILDING CODE ENFORCEMENT JURISDICTIONAL AREA.
WHEREAS, Section 50-60-101, Montana Code Annotated authorizes
the extension of municipal building code enforcement to include all
or part of the area within 4 1/2 miles of a corporate limit upon
application to the Department of Commerce, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell desires to extend its building
code enforcement jurisdictional area to include part of the area
within 4 1/2 miles of the corporate limits,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the City Council of the City of
Kalispell hereby requests the State Department of
Commerce, Building Codes Division to extend the building
code enforcement jurisdictional area of the City of
Kalispell to include an area of not to exceed 4 1/2 miles
from the corporate limits which shall be described by the
City on a section and quarter section basis.
SECTION II. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
take all necessary action to effect an extension of said
jurisdictional area.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL AND MAYOR OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, THIS 19THDAY OF APRIL, 1993.
