Resolution 3994 - Declare No Primary Election Needed142 RESOLUTION NO. 3994 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT NO PRIMARY ELECTION ELECTION IN BE HELD TO QUALIFY CANDIDATES FOR THE CITY OFFICIALS WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell is scheduled to hold a General City Officials Election on November 5, 1991, and WHEREAS, a Special Primary CityOfficials Election has been scheduled for September 10, 1991, d WHEREAS, the time for filing the necessary documents announcing candidacy for the election expired on June 27, 1991, and ny office WtheEnu number tonbeber of electedctodoffice in noates for amore than one-half twice the num of the offices on the ballot, and ess of ce the WHEREAS, the numbof er moreidates than onenforcany officer on the number to be elected s ballot, and WHEREAS, a primary election, if held, would have no practical affect and is not necessary for non -partisan elections. NOW THEREFORE .BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That a primary election to qualify candidates for the September 10, 1991 City election shall not be held. SECTION II. That this Resolution is passed pursuant to Section 13-14-115, M.C.A. SECTION III. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
