RESOLUTION No. 3989
A RESOLUTION RE -DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREETS AND AVENUES WITHIN
THE CITY OF KALISPELL FROM EAST NORTH (E.N.) AND WEST NORTH
(W.N.) TO NORTH EAST (N.E.) AND NORTH WEST (N.W.) TO COMPLY WITH
U.S. POSTAL REGULATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the certain Streets and Avenues within the City of
Kalispell North of Center Street are designated as East North and
West North, and
WHEREAS, regulations of the U.S. Postal Service require that
directional designation of Streets and Avenues contain the North/
South primary axis as the first directional reference, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to designate Streets and Avenues within
the City in accordance with U.S. Postal regulations.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
KALISPELL, MONTANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That the City of Kalispell shall beginning
on April 1, 1992 re -designate and re-sign areas of the
City to properly identify Streets and Avenues in
accordance with U.S. Postal regulations by changing the
East North (E.N.) and West North (W.N.) designation to
North East (N.E.) and North West (N.W.), for those
Streets and Avenues located North of Center Street.
SECTION II. This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon passage by the City Council and
approval by the Mayor.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL AND APPROVED
BY THE MAYOR THIS 3RD DAY OF JUNE, 1991.
