A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5313, BY REVISING AMBULANCE
RATES FOR THE USE OF THE KALISPELL AMBULANCE SERVICE AND DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Kalispell maintains an ambulance service through its fire department;
WHEREAS, on September 15, 2008, the City Council passed Resolution No. 5313, which increased
the rates for the Kalispell Ambulance Service set by Resolution 5204, including
establishing a $200 out -of -city response fee; and
WHEREAS, due to increases in costs for fuel, wages and medical supplies, it is necessary to revise
the rates that are charged for the ambulance service use, including elimination of the
$200 out -of -city response fee which has not generated the anticipated revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That Resolution No. 5313 is hereby amended by revising the rates of the
Kalispell Ambulance Service as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated fully herein by this reference.
SECTION II. That the $200 out -of -city response fee is hereby eliminated.
SECTION III. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage by the City
Council.
