This is in reply to your November 12 letter and to express my continued interest in airport
improvements at Kalispell City Airport. Mr. Fred Leistiko visited with me on November 15
regarding the status of airport improvements and we discussed various areas regarding the
plaster plan, what the next steps might be, the need to clarify land ownership options, and
federal project sponsorship requirements.
The Helena Airports District Office (ADO), which will continue to be your point of contact,
will call you very soon to set up a meeting to discuss these issues as well as potential Airport
Improvement Program funding support. After that meeting, you should be able to establish a
course of action which best serves your community.
I remain interested in the future of this airport and will continue to be in close contact with
the ADO regarding these various issues. I wish to assure you that we will work closely with
you to improve your airport.
