Re: StokeslCiU Airport Issues
Dear Mr. Harball:
As you may remember, more than three months ago you and I visited about the possibility of
coming to an amicable resolution of the difficulties and problems that confront both you and my
client, John Stokes, et al. The reason that we couldn't proceed at that time was the City was waiting
for some appraisal as to the costs of moving towers and relocating my client.
We are now almost a summer in time away from our last meeting and we have heard nothing
from the City as to the appraisal or any other efforts on their part to determine the financial value of
my client's interests.
At his request, I again am offering to the City through your office an opportunity to sit down
and realistically mediate the various issues before us. My client is more than willing to discuss tower
height, cost of relocation, the sale of any real property, and any future condemnation proceedings that
the City would deem necessary to resolve this matter.
There has been a couple of situations in the recent past that have again brought negative light
on these issues and my client. given the present situation, the sooner this matter can be brought to
resolution by both parties would be in the best interests of all concerned.
My client and I would be more than happy to meet at the convenience of you and your staff,
and/or appropriate representatives of the Airport Board and the City Council, to resolve these issues.
We stand ready, willing, and able to meet at your convenience, and would seek the earliest possible
date to accomplish this. I don't believe that waiting for the appraisals or other financial information
that you are seeking would prohibit us from going forward and corning to an agreement in principal
as to haw these matters can be resolved. once the framework of resolution has been established, the
casts, etc., can be resolved quickly.
Again, my client awaits your response and hopefully this matter can be moved forward with
some speed and diligence.
I await yours.
Yours truly
