Section 2. All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
Section 3. An emergency is declared to and does exist.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.

ORDINANCE NO. 639
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 310 AND 315 OF ORDINANCE NO. 536, KNOWN AS
THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL OF 1947s PASSED AND APPROVED
APRIL 14,.1947, AND REPELLING SECTIONS 309 AND 311 THEREOF, PERTAINING TO
ANGLE AND PARALLEL PARKING AND RELATING TO THE LEAVING OF THE PARKING SPACE,
BY CHANGING THE PLACES WHERE PARKING SHALL BE ANGLE AND PARALLEL AND BY
ELIMINATING THE PROVISION REQUIRING THE SOUNDING OF A HORN UPON LEAVING A
PARKING SPACE, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KALISPELL-
Section 1. That Section 310 of Ordinance No. 536 known as the Revised
Ordinances of the City of Kalispell, Montana of 1947, passed and approved
April 14, 19470 be, and the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
Section 310: Angle and Parallel Parking -- Where.
Except where actually engaged in loading or unloading commodities,
as provided in Section 327 hereof, all vehicles shall be parked at
an angle with the curb in the following areas: '
First Avenue West from Railroad Street to Fourth Street
Second Avenue West from Railroad Street to Fourth Street
All other parking within the ci* limits of the City of Kalispell
shall be parallel idth the curb, except vehicles when actually engaged
in loading or unloading commidities as aforesaid.
Section 2. Thgt Section 315 of Ordinance No. 536 as aforesaid be, and
the same is hereby, amended to read as follows:
Section 315. Same - Care. The operator of a motor vehicle on
leaving a parking space shall exercise great care to avoid accident when
entering into the line of traffic.
Section 3. Section 309 and Section 311 of Ordinance No. 536, as aforesaid
are hereby repealed.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 5. An emergency is declared to and does exist.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in fall force and effect from and after
its passage and approval; that enforcement shall begin as the parking spaces
and meters are prepared.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Kalispell, Montana,
this 17th day of December, 1954.
