BACKGROUND: An employment contract for Interim. City Manager has been
drafted for offer to Myrt Webb. The salient points of the contract are as follows:
This is an employment contract and not a contract for services.
The term of the contract is for 160 days or longer if a City Manager isn't
hired sooner.
The City can terminate the contract sooner than the stated term and the
Interim. City Manager can terminate the contract sooner than the stated
term..
The salary is $4,000 per month. Because the Interim City Manager will be a
statutory employee of the City, he will also accrue vacation and sick days.
The Interim. City Manager will not receive health insurance or retirement
benefits from. the City.
The In.terim City Manager will receive the use of a cell phone and service.
The Interim City Manager will receive the use of a city vehicle when
available for city business or will be reimbursed at the federal rate if he uses
his own vehicle for city business.
