Grizzly Spine Pain & Rehab — 3 Meridian Court; new freestanding sign
Dan Torrence gave a brief presentation on the proposed sign. The sign will be internally lit and
may require the removal of one parking space. Carol moved to approve the sign as submitted.
John seconded. Approved 6-0
Comfort Inn — 1330 Hwy 2 W; replace sign face in existing freestanding sign
Comfort Inn sign will be replacing the already approved Rodeway Inn signs. Mark moved to
approve the signs as presented. Russ seconded. Approved 6-0.
Lonnevik Law Office — 505 Ist Ave E; new freestanding sign
Mathew Carmer presented the sign proposal. The committee wanted to see a better sign frame,
not metal but suggested wood or brick columns to hold up the signs. Discussion was held as to
why the signs had to be so low to the ground and why the existing sign frame could not be used.
The committee tabled the sign approval pending Mr. Carmer resubmitting a revised sign structure.
Mr. Carmer will submit the revised sign structure to the planning department and the planning
department will send out the elevations via email for committee members to review and approve.
Closet Classics — 2472 Hwy 93 S; new wall signs
Lori Bjork was requesting clarification as to the amount of sign area she could install on her
building and the potential locations. The committee did not act on her sign request and is waiting
for Ms. Bjork to submit color renderings of the signs for the building.
Building Permits: Bloomstone — Spring Prairie; review of proposed parking lot for 64-unit
multifamily component
Discussed where the Bloomstone project was located and the surrounding land uses. The
committee requested more information regarding the landscaping (i.e. size, type) before any
recommendation could be made.
