BACKGROUND:
This bid includes furnishing plant mix asphalt materials to supply the City of Kalispell for
scheduled street maintenance and improvement projects. Projects can range from small utility
patches requiring less than two tons of asphalt, to mill and overlay projects requiring several
hundred tons.
BIDDING RESULTS:
Bids were received and opened on April 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Two responsive bids were
received.

Award the 2018 Asphalt Materials contract to LHC, Inc.
FISCAL EFFECTS:
Material orders for this contract are budgeted and will be funded through the following sources:
1. Special Street Maintenance Fund: "Pavement Repairs — Pavement Maintenance" line
item (2500-421-430244-354).
2. BaRSAA Fund: "Pavement Maintenance" line item (2421-421-430240-354)
3. Gas Tax Fund: "Overlay and Chip Seals" line item (2420-421-430240-368)
