Patrick:., City Manager SUBJECT: City - County Health levy - 2009 budget MEETING DATE: September 22, 2008 BACKGROUND: The information provided by the County Clerk and Recorder's office was incorrect for the mill levy for the City -County Health Department. The correct amount of the mill is 5.61 mills. The Health department is requesting that we revise our resolution and correct the amount of the mill levy. This levy will be collected and administered by the County. The City -County Health department did deliver a few copies of their budget to the Finance office this week. Please let us know if you would like a copy. RECOMMENDATION: `T: Adoption of Resolution 5316. FISCAL EFFECTS: Kalispell Citizens will contribute approximately $204,804 for the City --County Health Department. This is an increase of $730. Amy H. Robertson mes H. YEAR 2008- 2009. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF KALIS PELL AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I. That there is hereby levied upon each and every dollar of the taxable valuation of the City of Kalispell, Montana, for the fiscal year 2008- 2009, the following levy (funds to be collected and administered by Flathead County): CITY -- COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT 5.61 MILLS SECTION II. All provisions of Resolution 5312 are repealed, amended and rescinded to the full extent necessary to give full force and effect to the provisions of this resolution.
